PIERRE GONALONS

ICON OF TODAY

Pierre Gonalons is a Paris born designer, interior architect and scenographer who launched his studio at the remarkably young age of 23. Educated at Camondo, he quickly became celebrated for intersections of minimalism and decorative art, executed with meticulous craftsmanship.

His work spans interior architecture, scenography and product collections, often weaving pop culture references with traditional motifs. Gonalons creates spaces and objects that feel both understated and striking, each piece a quiet yet bold dialogue between past and present.

Gonalons collaborates closely with master craftspeople in France and Italy, reviving and recontextualising techniques from stone carving to lacquer and glass. Limited editions sit alongside custom commissions, and his scenography reveals an instinct for narrative, shaping exhibitions and presentation spaces that invite you to look longer.

As an interior architect he edits with care, placing strong focal pieces within calm envelopes and tuning sightlines so rooms feel both intimate and ceremonial.

Gonalons’ most recent collaboration, Rays of Light with Lyon-based silk house Prelle, explores light as texture and movement through graphic silk panels, unveiled in a poetic scenography inside Prelle’s historic salons at Place des Victoires in Paris.
