DENIS O'REGAN

ICON OF TODAY

Denis O’Regan is the eye of a generation. His photographs bottle the electricity of live performance and the quiet, human seconds around it, sidestage, studio, tour bus, hotel corridor. From David Bowie to Duran Duran and a who’s who of rock and pop, he earned rare access and used it with care, capturing artists as they were: focused, fearless, sometimes fragile, always alive.

He was there for Bowie’s final Ziggy Stardust show and a decade later became his official tour photographer, capturing the landmark Serious Moonlight and Glass Spider world tours. He travelled the globe with Queen, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and Spandau Ballet, and stood behind the lens at Live Aid, Coachella, and Glastonbury. His archive is a greatest hits of music history, spanning punk, New Romantics, grunge and beyond.

What sets O’Regan apart is timing and trust. He reads the room, waits for the breath before the roar, and frames light like a melody. The result is more than nostalgia. These images carry atmosphere and intent, turning moments into cultural memory. They remind you what it felt like to be there, sound still ringing, heart still racing.
