Founded by Clint Nagata, BLINK is a hospitality design studio that marries cultural insight with refined craft, creating places that feel rooted, contemporary and quietly unforgettable. The practice thinks globally and designs locally, reading context with care and translating it into experiences that balance beauty, comfort and a clear sense of place.
That commitment to learning shows in BLINK’s exchange programme with Keiji Architects in Tokyo. Each year a team member swaps studios, gaining first-hand knowledge of different workflows, materials and urban rhythms. The result is cross-pollination in the best sense, ideas that travel, skills that deepen, and projects that carry a more nuanced understanding of how people live and stay.
Current work includes the interior design of Six Senses Loire Valley Residences, a project that pairs calm, restorative living with a sensibility tuned to landscape and light. It is an example of BLINK’s approach in practice, where materiality, proportion and hospitality intelligence come together to create quietly confident spaces.
Culture is as important as craft. In memory of former colleague Kayte McMillan, BLINK launched A Wish to Remember, now in its sixth year, granting team members an all-expenses-paid journey to experience a new place and its culture. The initiative honours Kayte’s passion for travel and adventure, and it invests that same curiosity back into the studio.
We recognise BLINK as an icon for designing with empathy and intent, for building a practice that learns from the world, and for proving that hospitality can be both deeply human and beautifully made.
