Sixty3 London: Longevity as Luxury

EXPERTS

We speak with the founders of Sixty3 London about their design philosophy, studio partnership and how they create refined yet relaxed interiors shaped by longevity, balance and real life.

Q: Ginny and Charlotte we are delighted to be speaking with you and share more about your journey with our OLISE Magazine readers. How would you describe the essence of Sixty3 London, what is the design philosophy behind every space you create?

Thank you, we’re thrilled to be part of this feature. Our interior design studio Sixty3 London has always been about creating spaces that feel effortlessly refined, where elegance meets ease. Every interior we design is rooted in a sense of place and personality. We believe a home should tell a story, not just of good taste, but of the people who live there. Our design philosophy blends timeless structure with curated layers of texture, tone, and contrast. The result is tailored yet relaxed, considered, and quietly luxurious.

Q: With an impressive 20 years of combined experience in your team, we imagine your approach has evolved over time. How has your design process changed, and what core principles have remained the same?

Experience has definitely refined how we work. We’re now much more intuitive, decisive, and confident in guiding clients through the journey. Over time, we’ve built a trusted creative ethos, which allows us to push ideas further and be more daring with materials and layout. What hasn’t changed is our obsession with detail and balance. From day one, we’ve approached every project as though it were our own home, getting the flow of space right, and ensuring that functionality always meets form. That commitment to thoughtful design is the constant.

Q: How did you first meet, and what led you to start Sixty3 together?

We first connected professionally during a design project we collaborated on and instantly clicked. Charlotte had been running her own interior studio and brought a strong sense of business strategy and a love of styling and finishes. Ginny has a wealth of knowledge and experience across high end residential interior design. Today Ginny leads the design side of the business and her attention to detail is second to none.

Over time, we realised our skill sets were perfectly complementary. Charlotte has always had a clear vision for building a brand and a studio that balances creativity with commercial thinking as well as a talent for styling and adding the finishing touches. Ginny has an exceptional ability to bring concepts to life with precision and flair. It felt only natural to formalise our partnership and launch Sixty3 London and later Sixty3 Styled together. It’s a brand we’ve built side by side, rooted in mutual respect and a shared passion for considered, liveable and effortless interiors.

Q: Sustainability is such a big conversation in design right now. How do you approach eco-conscious choices without compromising on style or craftsmanship?

Sustainability for us is about longevity. We focus on designing spaces that won’t need redoing in five years' time. That starts with well planned layouts, durable materials, and a considered use of high quality resources. We work with craftspeople and suppliers who share our values, prioritising made-to-last pieces and low-waste practices. We’re also passionate about repurposing where we can. Sustainability doesn’t mean sacrifice. It’s simply another lens through which we design, ensuring our work is both beautiful and responsible.

Q: How do you work with clients to bring their vision to life while still keeping your signature Sixty3 London touch?

We always begin by listening. Every client brings their own lifestyle, priorities, and aesthetic cues, and we take the time to understand that fully. But they’ve come to us for a reason, and we guide them with confidence, gently introducing ideas they may not have imagined, while always being mindful of their brief. The Sixty3 London signature house style is felt in the layering, the tonal palettes, the considered lighting, and the mix of texture and materiality. It’s subtle but distinctive, never formulaic, always finessed.

Q: Both of you are incredible co-founders and also mothers. How has motherhood influenced the way you approach design, creativity, and running a business?

Between us, we have five children aged seven and under. We met just after Charlotte had her first baby, so juggling work and family has been part of our rhythm from the very beginning. As employers, we’re proud to offer our all-female team a genuinely flexible set-up. Every one of us has young children or babies, and we’ve built a working culture that reflects that reality.

Motherhood has made us more empathetic, more efficient, and more inspired. We understand, firsthand, the tension between beauty and practicality in a family home, so we design with real life in mind. We also have a deeper sense of how homes need to evolve over time, and we bring that understanding into every project.

On the business side, motherhood has taught us to be agile, to focus on what truly matters, and to trust our intuition. Creativity, entrepreneurship and motherhood may seem like a juggle, and yes, at times it can be overwhelming, but for us, they fuel each other. Resilience meets imagination, and while the juggle is real, the flexibility it brings is a privilege we don't take for granted.

Q: You’ve expanded beyond interiors with Sixty3 Styled, your beautiful home accessories line. What inspired you to launch this extension of your business?

Sixty3 Styled grew from a desire to offer our clients, and a wider audience. We had built a significant following on Instagram, and as our projects gained more visibility, we were constantly being asked where our furniture and styling pieces were from. At the same time, we were also finding it incredibly difficult to source the kind of accessories we wanted to use ourselves. Often, we’d come across a piece that was nearly right. For example, a sculpture with the perfect shape but the base might be a shiny gold metal that just wasn’t refined or elevated enough for the look we were after.

That’s where the idea for Sixty3 Styled began. We saw a clear gap in the market for curated, considered pieces that embodied timeless design and quality craftsmanship. Our faux flowers, in particular, have become a real best seller. The difference between good and poor quality is immediately obvious and our flowers truly stand out. Often, it’s the styling and finishing touches that elevate a space, and we wanted to curate and design pieces that bring that same level of thought and taste to every corner of the home. We source or design every product with the same lens we bring to our interiors: timeless, tactile, refined. It’s been such a joy to see how people incorporate the collection into their everyday living and keeping everything at an accessible price point was also really important to us. So much of interior design can feel exclusive, catering to a very small group of people with large budgets. We wanted to create a way for more people to bring the Sixty3 London look into their homes, without compromising on style or quality.

Q: Running a business comes with its hurdles. How do you overcome challenges, whether it’s with clients, projects, or growing the business?

Over the years we’ve learned to see challenges as pivots or learning experiences not problems. Whether it’s a delay on site, a creative block, or a shift in market dynamics, we come back to communication, collaboration, and clarity. Having each other is a huge strength. We balance each other out and share the load. We also surround ourselves with brilliant people, from our team to our suppliers, who all want the same thing: exceptional outcomes. Growth isn’t always linear, but we trust the process, keep our standards high, and never lose sight of why we started.

Q: We can’t wait to hear what’s next for Sixty3 London. Any exciting projects, collaborations, or dream ventures on the horizon you can share with OLISE readers?

This year is shaping up to be one of our most exciting yet. We’ve recently launched our homeware brand, Sixty3 Styled, on NEXT.com, making our collection more accessible than ever. It’s a huge milestone for us, and we’re thrilled to see our signature look reaching more homes across the UK and being partnered with such a reputable retailer.

We also have plans to expand our product range with new categories launching soon, including pieces for kids’ spaces, curated art, elevated storage solutions, and more. Every item will reflect the same thoughtful design and elegant style that defines everything we do.

Alongside our growing collection, at our studio we’re continuing work on a number of full-scale renovations across London and the Home Counties, each one completely unique in character and style. We feel so lucky to have the opportunity to work on such incredible properties with some really lovely clients and suppliers. At the moment everyday feels like a pinch-me moment, with so much going on and we are just very grateful and appreciative of it all.
