Living with Art: A Quietly Luxurious Home in Eaton Square

PROJECTS

In the heart of London's prestigious Belgravia, Miriam Frowein Interiors has masterfully transformed a family residence in Eaton Square into a refined yet unpretentious sanctuary. This project, envisioned as a neutral canvas, elegantly showcases the family's curated art collection while providing inviting spaces for both daily living and entertaining.

The design ethos centers around creating a backdrop that allows art to take center stage. Walls painted in soft, neutral tones provide a serene setting, allowing vibrant artworks to captivate without overwhelming the space. This thoughtful approach ensures that each piece of art is both highlighted and harmoniously integrated into the overall design.

A rich tapestry of materials adds depth and interest throughout the home. Bronze accents lend a touch of warmth and sophistication, while wood elements introduce natural texture. Lacquered surfaces and geometrical patterns contribute a modern flair, and the use of bouclé fabrics adds a layer of tactile comfort. Innovative materials like Corian and terrazzo are employed to create durable yet stylish surfaces, seamlessly blending form and function.

The selection of furnishings reflects a keen eye for design and a deep appreciation for artistry. An Ado Chale coffee table serves as a striking centerpiece, its intricate design echoing the home's artistic sensibility. A bespoke sideboard offers both utility and aesthetic appeal, while a Derick Pobell mobile introduces dynamic movement and a sculptural element to the space.

Beyond aesthetics, the home is thoughtfully designed to foster connection and comfort. Open-plan living areas encourage gatherings and social interaction, while more intimate nooks provide cozy retreats for relaxation. The layout balances the grandeur of the historic architecture with the needs of contemporary family life, ensuring each space is both beautiful and livable.
