Bar Lord Byron: A Poetic Sanctuary by Oscar Lucien Ono

PROJECTS 09.01.24

Nestled in the heart of Paris, just steps from the Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe, the newly unveiled Bar Lord Byron is a serene escape from the city’s vivacity. Reimagined by the visionary Oscar Lucien Ono of Maison Numéro 20, this intimate space marries timeless elegance with contemporary refinement.

The bar's ambiance is a reflection of its namesake – British poet Lord Byron. Here, guests are transported into a tranquil world where natural elements and rich textures converge. The lush conservatory, designed as a winter garden, features harmonious green and brown hues, botanical fabrics, and a bespoke mural gilded with fine gold by artisan Aude le Tixerant.

From the deep, sophisticated tones of the bar to the soft, dreamy palette of the breakfast room inspired by a cherry blossom garden, each space invites visitors on a journey. Subtle nods to Venice and the Orient, intricate gold-leaf motifs, and opulent Murano glass lighting evoke a sense of wanderlust, encapsulating the spirit of Lord Byron’s romantic adventures.

This cosy seating nook exudes a warm, vintage glamour with mustard velvet upholstery on the curved sofa and chairs, accentuated by rich tassel detailing. The space is anchored by the bold, leopard-patterned rug and Tiger Mountain fabric on the chair and cushions.

Oscar Lucien Ono’s artistic vision is palpable in every corner, blending classic craftsmanship with modern sensibilities. Through layered textures, chiaroscuro lighting, and curated details, he creates a design narrative that captivates both travelers and Parisians seeking a luxurious retreat. Bar Lord Byron offers more than just a place to unwind—it is a timeless ode to elegance, storytelling, and the art of living.
