A Triplex Parisian Apartment Transformed By GCG

PROJECTS 15.10.24

This Parisian Triplex apartment nestled in the heart of the 10eme arrondissement, is simply a work of art. Wherever you turn you will be amazed by the attention to detail and ability to make every space intriguing. The talent in bespoke design and the ability to use bold colours that enhance and not dominate showcases the genius of GCG Architects.

The bespoke kitchen in light celadon colour is courageous and elegant. The wooden veneer that frames the kitchen has arches that mimic the natural arches of the interior architecture and give an illusion of height.

We love how the double curved arches frame the journey through the apartment. Here on the beautiful dark teal tiles by Atelier Zelij is a winter garden, a place to chill and contemplate...

The mid-century furniture in rich brown wood balances the stark white walls and adds warmth to the rooms, while the built in bespoke bookcase divides the open living space in perfect harmony.

Handcrafted rattan divider made by Francois Passolunghi sets the scene, allowing light to filter through from the skyline and onto the different floors as we wind our way up to the first floor.

One of our favourite parts of the apartment is the three arched mezzanine painted in a rich terracotta paint by Farrow and Ball. The colour guides you on a journey through a narrow wooden staircase (flooring by La Parquterie Nouvelle) which leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms.

A hand painted mural welcomes creativity and imagination in the children’s room and a colourful pillar entertains little ones as well as functions.

The two bathrooms are incredibly colourful and detailed. They show how a small space should not limit your imagination. A bespoke double vanity in pastel pink with black faucets add contrast but also matches the black metal and glass wall that separates the shower.

The holistic creativity that GCG Architects brings to their projects is unrivalled. Dev Gupta, Olivia Charoentier and Alexandre Goulet join forces to challenge interior norms and create personal spaces that take you on a journey you never thought was possible.  They have taken France by storm and are now going global with projects in multiple continents. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
